2006: THE ORIENT BRIDE

It is every designer's dream to see their creations on a stunning model and have their creations spread over glossy pages of luxury fashion magazines each passing month.. each passing season.. year after year. It was a dream for me as well.

I did work pretty hard the first two years to transform this dream into reality and finally saved enough to get hold of one of the most creative photographers in the industry Anoushka Menon and decided to create the most stunning yet visually enticing ad campaigns that India had ever seen! I also knew that as an artist who believed in an eye for detail and a passion for fantasy.. I needed to only work with the best to realize these dreams. So I approached Swarovski with my concept of the Orient Bride and they proudly sponsored Swarovski elements that were required to create these ensembles.. believing in my vision and work! This helped me to create a few one-off pieces with such ease and to work with a stunning Mexican supermodel and a fantastic Australian Makeup artist—and last not the least—a rather immensely talented graphic artist who created the visually stunning backdrops that I had ever seen—for the advertisements. I met up with ELLE to finalize the campaign run for 8 months continuously with double and single spread ads.. giving the readers something new to look forward to each passing month.. it was sheer bliss! The 'Orient Bride' was just the beginning...
