The shoot with 'Karmik' designer JJ Valaya was a riot! Pleasure to meet such a funny articulate man; we got along like a house on fire and he really appreciated my writing... yay!

Then something happened during the 'Karmik' shoot! We had to stop the shoot three times because Mr. Valaya was laughing so much in our Turkish segment! As a joke, he suggested we indulge in hookah pipes and humus for our Turkish segment... and we kept cracking Turkish jokes!! You know... we had to greet and thank each other sooo many times during the interview that it became a running joke with the team! It is all captured on camera: some very candid funny moments!

I learnt a lot from him too... not in detail though! He revealed he's working with one of his muses at the moment for her bridal collection and he's really inspired and excited about the whole thing but could not reveal who she was! Style byte on Mr. Valaya: He was born in Jodhpur and has travelled extensively as his dad was in the army! I know they say all good things must come to an end but not in this case.... Mr. Valaya was to give us two hours but we ended up with five hours of his gracious time! And you know what? He and I have one of his muses in common: Rahul Dev, who is our very close friend! I learnt he's a Libran and he was trying to guess what sun sign I was... came up with Gemini but I'm a Piscean! It was overall a day of jokes and merriment which downplayed our exhaustion! His clothes? Toooo exquisite! I'm in love! Very traditional... very Karishma Naina! Everyone sees me as a modern western girl but I'm very traditional and old school @ heart! A last thought before I log off this blog post: A dream day with JJ.

He has dedicated his entire Autumn Winter '12 show to Turkey, using which he did his grand finale at WIFW. Karishma was wearing the same garment, which Kangana wore as showstopper!

The Jewellery was sourced from Malaga @ 1 MG Galleria. And the shoot was for 5 segments, one of which was Turkish...

Karishma you look BEAUTIFUL in the JJ Valaya ensemble and stunning jewellery (where was the jewellery sourced from?). An observation: this look is way better than the shorts and dresses you've been sporting on the show!
